Finals for the Spring 2012 semester are almost here...

Amnesty Week

While the CSTs are in progress during the week of May 14th, I am making the following offers in certain sections:

| Below 50% | you may turn in any missing assignment by the end of school on May 21st without penalty. |
| Between 50% and 64.99% | you may turn in any missing assignment by the end of school on May 21st with a maximum penalty of 25%. |
| Between 65% and 69.99% | you may turn in any missing assignment by the end of school on May 21st with a maximum penalty of 35%. |
| Between 70% and 84.99% | you may turn in any missing assignment by the end of school on May 21st with a maximum penalty of 50%. |
| 85% or Above | Extra credit assignments will be available. Must be completed by the end of school on May 21st. |
Check the assignment section to see if this offer is available for your section.
During CSTs, assignments will be posted for the upcoming weeks and you may also start ahead on those assignments.
In Danger of Failing

May 11th was the cut-off date for the 15-Week progress reports in all my classes. As is my custom at this time, students who currently have below a 78% may receive the comment on the report: “In danger of failing.” This does not mean that a student will fail the class, or necessarily is close to failing at this point, but rather that a possibility exists that a student may fail if their work drops off before the end of the semester.
There is still time for grades to move either up or down. Students need to keep working, and attempting to improve so that they can finish with the best grade possible.
As grades are finalized for this report period, notice will be posted here.
